Origin control

We grow watermelon in the dry belt of Panama's central provinces (Azuero, Coclé, and Herrera), whose December-to-April dry season lines up with the winter supply gap in Europe and North America. Panama is an established counter-season watermelon origin for the United Kingdom and the Netherlands; Dulce Tropical structures container export programs for importers and retail chains.

Frequently asked questions

What watermelon varieties do you handle?

Primarily Crimson Sweet and seedless varieties. Crimson Sweet is most common for export due to transport resistance.

What is the watermelon season in Panama?

Main season is December to April (dry season). Volume is limited outside this window.

What minimum volumes do you handle?

Minimum one 40' container per shipment. We execute weekly programs during high season.

Why source Panama watermelon counter-season?

Panama's dry season (December–April) covers the winter supply gap in Europe and North America, when Northern Hemisphere local production is out of season. As a Panama watermelon exporter, we structure container programs for importers and retail chains during that window.
